Learning the alphabet doesn’t have to mean repeating letters from a page. Children can meet the same letters in lots of different ways — spotting them, tracing them, matching them and exploring them through play.

Start with whichever activity suits the moment. Make letters with playdough during hands-on play, go searching for them with the scavenger hunt cards, practise pencil control with the tracing sheets or simply keep the alphabet poster somewhere your child can return to it.
There’s no set order and no pressure to finish everything. The idea is to make letters familiar through small, playful encounters that can be repeated whenever your child feels interested.
