Trying new foods can become a battle before the first bite is even taken. The Brave Bite Challenge turns it into something more playful — giving children a simple way to explore unfamiliar foods, celebrate having a go and build confidence at their own pace.
The challenge uses a colourful points chart to make different foods part of the game, alongside a progress and reward sheet so children can see how many brave bites they’ve tried. There are also colouring pages for quieter moments and gold, silver and bronze certificates to celebrate their progress along the way.
The aim isn’t clean plates or pressure to eat something they don’t like. It’s about making trying the achievement. Each little attempt becomes something positive to recognise, helping food exploration feel more like play and less like a mealtime battle.
Print the pack at home and use it in whatever way works for your family. Try one food at a time, work towards a certificate or simply see how many different colours and foods your child is willing to explore.
A playful little way to make trying something new feel like something to be proud of.
